Pecha Kucha (from a Japanese term for the sound of conversation) is a format which allows a number of people to present their thoughts and was recently successfully tried at the MRS. It guarantees plenty of variety and no time for boredom.
You will have 10 slides with 20 seconds to talk for each, giving you 3 minutes 20 seconds to impress your fellow ICGers with your take on the world of market research.
Any topic related to MR is acceptable. For example:
- Clients: It is a bad sign if...
- Briefs: Fulfilling the impossible – yesterday...
- Respondents: You wouldn't believe this guy I had in the back of my group...
- Presentations: You know it's not going well when....
There will be a prize of a bottle of Saki for the:
- highest wit quotient
- highest wisdom quotient
Titillate the audience with your choice of images for your slides
John Habershon will officiate with genial ruthlessness. You will emerge a little wiser, a little more cheerful (and perhaps a little drunk).
Wine and finger food from 6pm. The session starts at 6:30pm and lasts one hour - with a further hour for chatting and networking.
Entry cost: £15 to all ICG members - volunteers and spectators alike - to cover the wine etc.
£20 to non-members. Payable in cash on the door.
Venue: SCI (Society of Chemical Industry) 15 Belgrave Square, London SW1X 8PS in the Council Room. Tube: Hyde Park Corner, Exit 5.
