On a personal level, being a freelance consultant or managing a small business can be lonely and daunting. The ICG is a strong network of experienced researchers many of whom have set up and managed successful research consultancies over several years. Here’s what you get from joining:

- The annual survey: find out how other Indies operate, the areas they work in, what they charge, and much more from the report, free to all members who complete it.

To find out more before coming to a decision we recommend you speak to a committee member or visit one of our meetings as a non-member.
To find an event, look at the events page. Most meetings are open to non-members for a small charge to cover the costs of speaker(s) and refreshments. If you wish to attend an event as a non-member, contact Andrew Smith, Chairman.
How to join
Membership is open to individuals who are working in market research or related areas, either on a 'solo' basis, or in partnership with/employing up to two others. Where part-time staff are employed there must be a limit of three full-time equivalents.
If you would like to join, please complete the Application Form. The membership year is from 1st April to 31st March, the annual subscription fee is £60 plus VAT (£72.00 gross). Members joining on or after 1st October pay a reduced rate of £30 plus VAT until 31st March. Please note that subscription payments are non-refundable.
