I established Judy Jones Research & Planning Consultancy Limited in 2001 after a pretty long career in advertising, marketing and market research companies. As an executive director of The Research Business International, I co-founded and led the Corporate & Financial Unit at TRBI from 1989 to 2001, working with such blue chip clients as Lloyds Bank, Scottish Widows, National Savings and Investments, Zurich and Prudential, to name but a few, building the team from 3 to around 13 over that period. Prior to TRBI, I was Marketing Director of Barclayshare Ltd (now Barclays Stockbrokers Limited) the retail stockbroking firm within the Barclays Bank group, before which I was an account planning director in the Research & Planning Unit at Valin Pollen, a leading corporate communications agency in the 1980s, working on numerous financial, professional services and City accounts. I started my career in advertising as an account planner at Royds Manchester, now McCann Manchester, which is where my financial specialism appears to have begun with work on National Girobank in particular. I've covered all bases, working for myself, client-side and agency-side, so I hope to be able to see clients' issues from all sides.
I graduated a long time ago from the University of Reading with a B.A. in Human Geography and after a stint at the coal face in the insurance industry, achieved a Masters in Business Analysis at Lancaster University, still quite a long time ago.
I am married, have two grown up children and a small dog. In my spare time, I am a keen horse rider, sculptress, carving stone for pleasure (stone is harder than it looks!), read a lot, love film and spend as much time as possible in France.
