I am a highly experienced qualitative research specialist, with wide-ranging experience in consumer and social research. I specialise in sensitive issues, health and charities, but  also continue to enjoy NPD, brand strategy, advertising and packaging research in the commercial sector. I believe meaningful human interaction is at the heart of the richest qualitative research; I am a qualified practising psychotherapist and counselling psychologist, which enhances my interviewing skills and psychological insight.  I work rigorously and meticulously, but my years of experience also give me an edge at standing back and seeing the meta picture.

I am a psychology graduate, with a professional doctorate in Counselling Psychology and Psychotherapy. I started my career at Cragg, Ross and Dawson, and have continuted to work in  – and love – qualitative research for over 25 years. In 2004, Catherine Millican and I set up CM Insight, and started to specialise in areas that most interested us.  I have appeared on television talking about AIDS research, and have written and contributed to published papers in the health field, including cancer and arthritis. I am a member of AQR, BPS, UKCP (qualified psychotherapist) and MRS. I have three sons and enjoy breaks in South West France and walking in London.
