An independent consultancy providing a full range of market research services to local, national and international clients, designed to minimise uncertainty, provide input to strategy development, evaluate performance, understand audience needs and raise their market profile.

Full capability in qualitative and quantitative research, covering local, UK and international markets and working with an established network of research associates and partners.  This encompasses: In-depth interviews and focus groups; Face-to-face and telephone interviews; Online, e-mail and postal surveys; Omnibus, panels and tracking surveys; and Research support and consultancy.

I work directly with end clients, from small businesses to major international organisations, with communications agencies and other intermediaries, and with other research agencies and consultants.


I am widely experienced in market research in a range of business sectors and across a wide mix of research methodologies and approaches.

My experience and specialisation are particularly with business to business and more specialist audiences, such as members and employees, customers, investors and advisers, journalists, students and academics and other stakeholders and opinion-leaders.

Client sectors are particualrly focused on Financial, professional and business services; Advertising, public relations and investor relations; Professional associations, charities, further education and public sector; Energy and other industrial sectors.

I also have extensive experience of research required for wider publication, whether in published reports or for PR releases, and have been involved in around 70 published surveys in the past ten years.


I set up DBA in 2004, drawing on 35 years’ experience as market research buyer and provider. This included 25 years at Board level in leading UK research agencies and experience within two major international communications groups.

Full member of the UK Market Research Society and a MRS Company partner.
