JMM Consulting is a qualitative research & diversity consultancy that helps brands, charities and public sector organisations reach and understand diverse communities and different cultures.

We provide full-service qualitative research and also support research agencies, both in the UK and internationally.

We work across several sectors but are especially accomplished in diversity and inclusion research, as well as other topics that need a highly sensitive approach, and have particular expertise and understanding of communities that are seldom-heard, including those from racially minoritised groups, children and young adults.

We have expertise across a diverse range of in-person and online qualitative methodologies (asynchronous and synchronous) and regularly collaborate with experts from other fields including, quantitative, planners, semioticians and service designers.

About

JMM Consulting is led by John Miller, a qualitative specialist with a strategic background in media consultancy and  planning.

I have refined my craft over two decades, working with organisations across media, technology, the social impact sector and government - and am a certified member of the Market Research Society (MRS). Since 2022, I have worked with ITV, Google, Lloyds Banking Group, NSPCC and Wellcome, among others. Open-minded & global in outlook, I have project experience working in several European countries, the US, China and The Middle East.

I am adept at understanding the nuances of human behaviour as a tool for deriving actionable insight for brands and also bring strategic and insight-driven thinking to public & third sector research.

I am a willing collaborator and embrace opportunities to share and work with like-minded qualitative researchers and other practitioners within the insight space.

I believe profoundly in the value of qualitative research in tackling issues that can transform the fortunes of brands, organisations and the communities they serve.
