About

My business career started in advertising when it was edgy, fun and at times controversial.

My first exposure to qualitative research was accompanying my client to observe focus groups designed to evaluate  the appeal of a new Heinz soup commercial - which featured Gary Glitter in full stage gear.  I can't remember how the Agency Planner persuaded the client it was the route to go ! Perhaps that experience stimulated my interest in online focus groups and communities when technology facilitated a forum for more honest and open discussion  :).

And I've always been interested in how technology can help facilitate more natural research environments which is why I launched Field Agent® in the UK 4 years ago. Utilising the power of smart phones so that shoppers give real time feedback on their experiences across all sorts of retail outlets.

I have enjoyed the opportunity to present Field Agent studies at Quirks, Zenith Global Soft drinks and Water Conferences. And  playing rather bad Golf at the Quirks annual  golf days.
