Overview

Insight. Research. Transformation.

On-demand, flexible expertise to overcome resource challenges

20+ years experience leading insight work and transformation initiatives across financial services, management consultancy, and central government, spanning insight, research, strategy, proposition, and capability development.

Services

I provide flexible expertise to meet your insight, research and transformation needs.  I can help your team to work more effectively together, make better decisions using research and insight, achieve more impact and make progress faster.

Whether you're trying to activate research findings or leading insight transformation, it all comes down to people.

Despite all the recent advances in AI and research tech automation, getting stuff done in organisations still requires people to work together, to make decisions, and to move things forward.

And that might be a headache if you haven’t got enough time or talent available with the right skills and experience.

I can provide a temporary boost to overcome those challenges without the hassle of increasing permanent headcount.

Flexible insight expertise to help you make the world a little bit better.

My services include:

  • Insight Consulting
  • Interim Insight Leadership
  • Freelance qual research
  • Change and Transformation

About

I’m James Powell, Director of in3dinsights Ltd.

I founded my own business because I love sharing my insight experience and helping others to make progress.  And also because I love being my own boss.

For over 20 years I have led insight work and transformation initiatives across financial services, management consultancy, and central government, spanning customer insight, research, strategy, proposition, and capability development.  I’m now pretty fluent in corporate buzzwords, but prefer plain English.

Over that time I've observed that colleagues, consumers, and citizens are often emotional creatures with a beautifully illogical mixture of motivations and desires.

And the best way to bring people together and collaborate effectively is through empathy, humour and humanity, alongside a good helping of strategy and insight.

I call it 'insight-informed, people-centred change'.

If that sounds interesting then let's have a chat.  Cheers.
