Researching since 2004: client-side, agency-side including as director, and freelancing.
Skilled in quant and qual, I especially enjoy combining data sources for rounder understanding. I have specific experience in transport, but I love variety so no limits!
Support for agencies and research end-users, for example:
- Running full projects autonomously
- Providing broader or more strategic research consultancy
- An extra pair of hands for qualitative fieldwork, or qual or quant reporting.
I have lots of experience in UK transport, especially public transport but including taxi services and more recently the electric vehicle sector.
But I also love to learn new things and hear from people in all sorts of places and contexts - since going freelance in 2018 I've really enjoyed working with clients in energy, tech, retail, graduate recruitment, finance, and tourism.
I love my job.
Actually, as part of post-uni travelling in Ghana, I did work experience in media planning and thought that would be my career. But while interviewing for one of the big media agencies in London, somebody very wise there suggested I'd be really at home in market research and pointed me in the direction of Millward Brown (now Kantar)....
And now after 14 years at two large agencies, I'm a freelance market and social researcher. Freelancing means I work on projects that I find interesting (which is pretty much everything!), and gives me just about the right amount of flexibility to be a mum as well; I'm fortunate to have two young children.
I'm friendly and down-to-earth, proud of trusting relationships with my clients. I'm conscientious and I care about doing research really well, and I really enjoy it.
