Background

With around 15 years’ experience, both client and agency side, I’m a full member of the Market Research Society and was on the board for the Association of Qualitative Research from 2016-2019. I’ve been an independent for around 18 months now but before this I led on the development of the qualitative offer at the full service agency, Join the Dots. Previously I worked in various research roles including a four year stint as Insight Manager at for the environmental charity Keep Britain Tidy.

It was at Keep Britain Tidy that I developed my obsession with really understanding the irrational and emotional drivers of human behaviour and decision making – an obsession that keeps me motivated to continually learn about and develop new ways of engaging both clients and consumers in the otherwise purportedly rational world of research! Thus I am well versed in both traditional qualitative methodologies and some of the so-called ‘edgier’ stuff! Here I have particular skills online qual, digital and ethno-inspired methodologies, filmed qual and I especially love composing visual stories for my clients.
