I've been working in the research industry for 30 years and of which nearly 20 were spent leading client-side Insight teams, for leading brands such as Orange, M&S, EE and The National Lottery.
Having led ABA Research as MD, I set up Deep Blue Thinking in 2018 as I wanted to work more closely with clients, and to share my experience working that side of the fence. I'm fascinated by what makes people tick and wanted to stay close to the research process.

By understanding how Insight teams fit within the corporate world, I help businesses get more from their research spend by working directly with senior leadership teams. I work extensively with CMO's and brand directors and help translate commercial requirements into an actionable research brief.
This doesn't mean I don't like getting my hands dirty! I use my agency experience and a strong network of partners to help deliver insight in creative ways.
I live in St Albans with my wife, two kids and our dog, Dexter.

There are big clues to my life outside work in my company name. A keen scuba diver, I'm passionate about the ocean and have been pleased to be able to support conservation organisations such as The Manta Trust and Coral Vita since setting up Deep Blue Thinking.
The other blue in my life is football-related. A life-long Chelsea fan, I'm always up for a chat about the Blues!
