Speciality

I'm passionate about improving patient and carer wellbeing - whether that's improving the services that deliver for them or helping better understand their information and support needs. But wider than that - patients and carers are also consumers of public and voluntary services, so I'm driven to undertake research and insight that delivers more for individuals across the board.

Background

I have worked in health and social care for more than 15 years across the private, public and voluntary sectors, but also have experience in local government working in an area of social inequalities. Starting out in marketing and communications, my roles have spanned communications and engagement for a large London teaching hospital; developing patient insight, partnerships and advocacy in a CSR role at Pfizer Ltd; and sourcing and managing patient insight and fieldwork for Healthwatch Surrey. Having largely commissioned and project managed research client-side, I decide to 'cross the floor' and so recently formalised my own research skills with the MRS Advanced Certificate in Market and Social Research for which I was awarded a Double Distinction.
