President/Big Brain, LitBrains-Igniting Ideas!

Overview

Based in the USA; this is a qualitative research consultancy with a special love for moderating with kids and teens. Also working with many other audiences; I adeptly move from online and mobile to in-person or in-store for in-context research.

Services

LitBrains-Igniting Ideas! is a freelance qualitative research consultancy that believes partners are the key to success whether with other researchers or clients. I design creative and in-context qualitative research, am willing to do most anything (that is legal) to meet a learning objective and work with partners from around the globe. Happy to work as a member of a worldwide team or in a lone researcher role. I am flexible. Expert in creating productive and insightful sessions with kids, teens and their parents, I also work with adults of all ages always with an eye on what consumers do and where they are most comfortable meeting the research objectives -- online, in-person, in-store, in-field/on-the-street/in-situ or via mobile. I've done it all and am comfortable finding new ways to push the boundaries on learning consumer needs and ideals. I do all of this smartly meeting most budgets too!

About

With more than 30 years of experience enjoying people for a living, I am the super exuberant Pam Goldfarb Liss. I love the never-know-what's-coming next fun of interviewing consumers. Devoted to helping researchers-everywhere-love working with kids and teens; I have taught moderating at RIVA Market Research Institute and am currently creating my own learning platform at www.litbrains.com called Mission Kid Possible (check it out for live and on-demand content). I served two terms on the board of directors at the Qualitative Research Consultants Association (QRCA) and am an active member. My favorite zen space is in an art museum where I make up ridiculously fun stories in my head about the paintings and people. A pop culture maven (armed with subscriptions to People and Hello!), I know too much about 1970s/80s American TV theme songs to be useful but can be seen humming them often. After spending over a decade living in the busy, hustle and bustle of New York City and Washington DC; I returned to my hometown of Minneapolis, Minnesota where I live with my still-has-an-east-coast-mindset husband (he often craves a 'real bagel') and teenage daughter (who often think I'm too ridiculously happy and yet enjoys this too).
