I offer a full range of qualitative research services, and can provide either specific components or full project design and delivery:

• Proposal preparation / project design and management (including recruitment)
• Moderation (groups, depths, intercepts, shopper, ethnographic)
• Online moderation (forums, communities, blogs, diaries)
• Audio/video data collection and presentation
• Client workshop facilitation
• Analysis (content analysis, grid analysis), reporting and presenting findings

My focus is always on delivering clear, relevant and reliable insights. I bring dedication and enthusiasm to every project, and pride myself of my ability to 'get inside the heads' of both consumers and clients alike. I feel that it is only by doing this, that it is possible to really help clients shape their strategic thinking.

About

I worked as an agency researcher for 10 years, most recently as a Research Director at Synovate UK (now Ipsos). My experience covers a wide range of sectors and research capabilities, with a particular focus on food and drink, finance, media and government/public sector (esp. business-to-business).

I have been working as an independent freelance consultant since June 2009. During that time, I have worked with a number of research agencies, from large multinationals to small boutiques, as well as working directly with brands on a consultancy basis.

I have extensive experience of a wide range of techniques and approaches, both traditional and emerging, including: Behavioural and attitudinal exploration; product and service development and positioning; customer experience; brand positioning; communications; public engagement; public policy and strategy.

I live in Kent, UK with my wife and son, and when I'm not working I try to make music (a frustrated bass player) and love hiking and biking on the North Downs.
