About
I have worked at Dyson in the 'upstream' consumer research team for the last 10 years. I worked hands-on, designing research studies, pitching work to key stakeholders, moderating consumer sessions, analysing quant and qual data and presenting back to the board, including regular presentations to James Dyson and the CEO.
My background is unusual for a consumer researcher, as I studied engineering and initially worked as an innovation design engineer/product designer. This background helps me successfully communicate study findings to technical audiences as well as marketing teams.
I have a passion for behavioural research and consumer psychology and have been a regular attendee at ‘Nudgestock’ for the last few years. This passion has influenced my research methods and how I tailor my findings to get to the 'nub' of the issues that consumers face, in an engaging and actionable way.
I constantly wonder why people do what they do and at times find myself creating new inventions to solve problems, or writing short stories inspired by something I have observed. I also love designing stained glass pieces and luckily find the time constraints of family life enhance my creativity!
