About
Richard has over 35 years’ experience in insight and strategic market research. He has particular specialism in business-to-business research, particularly market trends and growth analysis, customer experience/perception/satisfaction, acquisition due diligence, new product/service development, and competitor analysis and benchmarking.
While he has particular experience in the built environment and construction sectors, Richard has conducted hundreds of research projects across most sectors, notably commercial and industrial finance, IT and software, manufacturing, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, logistics and utilities. These have nearly all been ad hoc studies for clients in the private, public and membership sectors in the UK and worldwide.
He started his insight career at Research Associates in 1989 and became co-owner and Director of the company in 2001. In 2022 he became Director of AMA Research then Consultancy Director of Barbour ABI. He is now a Partner/Director at The Insight Strategists.
Richard is comfortable working for clients at all levels within organisations and providing strategic recommendations to Board and C-Suite audiences based on the insights derived from research projects. Richard is a Certified Member of the Market Research Society.
Outside of work he likes dogs, waking, music and camping, and being bossed around by his wife and daughters.
