Hi! My name is Tara and I am a freelance insight specialist, offering a diverse toolkit and experience across markets and sectors, ready to help you with your next project 👋

Here's a quick summary of what I do but I would be happy to share my portfolio and CV with you:

👉 I am a director-level researcher with expertise across both quantitative and qualitative methodologies.

👉 I am experienced in all stages of the research lifecycle, from set up and fieldwork to analysis and delivery, with strong presentation and storytelling skills.

👉 I am able to jump in and move seamlessly between hands-on work (I love working in Q!) and high-level client engagement – ensuring both the rigour behind the scenes and bringing clarity into the room.

👉 I have a degree in psychology and as a researcher I am agency-trained, having had the privilege of working with some of the most talented people in this industry, on some of the world’s biggest brands and their strategic challenges.

About

Freelancing is a new chapter for me in my career and it takes shape after a year of other major life events – turning 30, getting married, and settling into a new home with our pup, Gus. Stepping away from traditional employment has been equal parts terrifying and exhilarating but it’s pushed me in ways I’m truly grateful for and I’m excited for the possibilities that lie ahead, especially with The ICG!

I am proactive, curious, and eager to learn, driven by a passion for helping clients understand their consumers better. I chose freelancing as a way to deepen my connections and apply my skills more directly, partnering with clients closely on projects that matter most.

With freelancing also comes greater freedom in my personal life and I am committed to spending more time outside with Gus and on my other passions like oil painting and photography. I am a very creative person and have a desire to use my brain and hands as much as possible - I might even start crocheting!
