ICG Insight Success!
This year’s Insight Show was buzzing with people, fuelled by good conversations, packed presentations, plenty of freebies and wine o’clock on our stand from lunchtime onwards.
Our stand wasn’t in as good a position as last year but we had great neighbours (think wine o’clock helped) and could approach people away from our stand in the main walkways instead.
The highlight for us was of course our pecha kucha presentations about the value and growth of microbusinesses at the end of the first day, presented by Teresa Hadfield and James Tattersfield (Becky Lewis was due to join them but was unfortunately ill). About 50 listened to this talk and our speakers were approached afterwards by a couple of interested parties. Was really great to see the ICG logo up on the big screen so many times during this session and the pride of us ‘micros’ came through loud and clear.
Plenty of ICG members visited us across the two days – great to put faces to names and re-acquaint with those already known. Lots of chat on the stand about how much members value – even rely on – the ICG; if only we could have recorded these at the time. It’s still often the case that our value is only really appreciated once signed up.
We have also sent 26 follow up emails to people who expressed interest in the ICG – and of course many fliers were given out to stand visitors.
- 4 potential members
- 16 potential advertisers
- 6 potential clients.
Good to relax with at the end of day 1 in the pub with members and some advertisers.
Thanks @insightshow – a generally great experience, allowing us to showcase face to face as well as on social media.
