Impact of Covid-19 – ICG members’ survey

Designed to determine the impact of Covid-19 on the practice and business of members, Keith Meadows and Peter Martin have recently published the results of their survey.

113 members responded to the survey. Results indicate that qualitative researchers have been the hardest hit with business falling off significantly. However, many members are struggling with reduced incomes, and the negative impact on business is likely to be long term.

The key takeouts for me were the methodological complacency that the industry generally (clients and practitioners) has displayed in the past – sticking to tried and tested methods and being reluctant to embrace new ones.
