ICG Christmas Lunch 2019

Thanks to ICG member Liz Mongomery for this summary of what seemed to be a really great afternoon.

Christmas Lunch at The Castle, Farringdon

The ICG Christmas lunch was full of good cheer as usual.  This year we had our own cosy room in this traditional London pub, bedecked with garlands and twinkly lights, and a large Christmas tree.

Thanks to our sponsors Ardent Fieldwork and Perspective Market Research, together with Web Creator Suite who provided us with a nice glass of bubbly to start with.   The company was buzzing, and we had a great mix of established and new members and some of our suppliers who support us so generously.  We tried, and mostly failed, to guess the baby pictures, and lots of raffle prizes were won, raising £265 for St Mungo’s.   I couldn’t believe how fast the time had flown by when I realised it was 4pm, but that was because of the good company and conversations that ranged from Toy Story and Lego movies, to how to secure a patent, to the challenge of the day job, although mostly the chat was about anything but work.  And the favours in the crackers were truly cringeworthy…as they should be.

A merry and delicious Christmas lunch was had by all.
