The ICG has some of the most talented and experienced researchers in our industry and we are delighted to have them recognised in the MRS’s awards process.
The MRS/ICG Award for Independent Consultants, now in its seventh year, is designed to recognise the contribution of researchers who choose to work as micro-businesses rather than in a larger agency environment.
We received a record number of excellent quality submissions this year, and the judging panel has been spending the last couple of months reviewing the awards, debating their relative merits and selecting our finalists. After much deliberation, the finalists are:
- Craft, Konrad Collao : Fact-finding – Inspiring the UK production industry to develop the next generation of factual TV programmes
- Direct Dialogue, David Spenser : But first, tell me about your Dad – how Braided Research brought funerals into the 2020s
- Shed Research, Dan Young: Systems-thinking storytelling: taking Futures Housing on a cultural journey to tell better stories to its Board
- Telltale Research, Alex Clark: Challenging Pseudoscience: A case study on Covid-19 vaccine scepticism
Well done to you all. And now for the nail biting wait for the announcement of the winner. The winner will be announced online at the MRS Awards ceremony on the 5th December. Over the next few months we will be featuring more about each finalist and their submission on the website so watch this space.
